Well, Matt and I have been at his parents' house now for a week. So far, things are going very well. I must do more to help out around the house, so I don't feel like a total bum.
We don't have all of our stuff here that we will eventually. We did some more moving of stuff on Saturday. I managed to twist my ankle in the beginning of the adventure, so that was fun. Ha. It wasn't too bad, and it's fine now. Thankfully. We will be working on that again this weekend. Blah. Have I mentioned lately that I hate moving?!
My internship is going well, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm struggling with learning student, teacher, and staff names - there's just so many between the two schools! I'm slowing getting used to being called Mrs. Smeltzer. It would be just as weird to be being called Miss Hoffman. I'm just not used to that level of formality, particularly by kids!
It's weird having free time. I TRULY enjoyed being work free on Saturday since it was my first real free Saturday in over 15 months that I didn't request off for something specific. (I do have to say that I did have a Sat. I didn't work due to no coverage, but I had to be available. It wasn't like I could make plans and go do something. There were a few times I had little to do as well, but again I had to be available if something came up.) It's amazingly freeing. I know my current free time will lower when classes start on Monday, so I'll have to live it up now.
Matt's side of the family celebrated Christmas this past Sunday. We all had a good time and enjoyed seeing each other. Unfortunately, one of his sisters and her family wasn't able to be there since they have moved to Wisconsin, BUT we will get to see them the end of January! Hooray! If you haven't already, you should look at the cute pictures of my nephew and nieces that I added from the celebration.
Anyways, I hope all is well with everyone. Take care.
