Oh, Grand Valley. I really do like you, but recently I've come to wonder how you've functioned for so long.

I've come to terms with the fact that my expected date of Graduation reads "April 25, 2010" because of some IT screw-up. It must be something amazingly difficult to fix, since it's said that since November. I bothered you for about three months before you fixed everything else on my transcript, like acknowledging I was in the Honors College and would in fact be getting a minor. Or so I though, until I went and looked at it today. Instead of counting my independent study in advertising as one of my two electives, you're counting my honors senior project. Oh well, as long as the honors college is good with that, so am I.
Also, letting someone intern for ME and get credit for it as a valid advertising internship? We're at exactly the same level in school, and have probably taken all of the same classes. What are you thinking??

And then I got the form to order graduation announcements in the mail today (which I'm taking as a good sign). That's nice it's got a spot for both my major and my minor, but the thing is, neither of them fit in the allotted number of letters. 26 letters would be perfect if I had majored in the alphabet, but I actually majored in Advertising & Public Relations. And don't even think about trying to get Hospitality & Tourism Management to fit in there, even with the conservation of letters by using the 'and' sign. I may have to get creative with my abbreviating skills.

In other, happier news, no one else in my apartment is even pretending to wear green today. I'd say about 75% of the people I saw at the grocery store were though, so that makes me happier. And the fact that they're removing the snow poles from by the sidewalks. It is mighty windy today, so that may be a sign it's time for me to bust out my kite. If I keep talking about that for long enough, maybe I'll actually get around to it. Or maybe I'll just find an old bed sheet and fly across campus for dinner later.

comment if: you'd be interested in painting that big rock on campus for Dodgeball (I'm thinking the Sat., Sun., or Mon. night before).
