(no subject)
I was struck with the feeling on Saturday that I had hugged/been hugged by a lot of people this weekend. Then I thought about it, and decided the total was 3, which probably says a lot about the amount of physical contact I have with people on a regular basis. Maybe the wierd part was only one of them was someone I had ever seen before in my life.
I also went bike riding twice this weekend, and got simultaneously sunburned and soaked. While at the same time being mercilessly battered by the wind. Excellent training conditions, if nothing else. I also saw a possum try to escape through a chain-link fence which it had no possible physical way of fitting through. That certainly didn't stop it from trying, making for an amusing situation for those of us observing.
This coming weekend I have a wedding shower to attend for one of my High School friends. This is still very strange to me, as I have absolutely no thoughts of getting married in the near future. It makes me realize how much I've lost touch with some people since High School. This girl was one of my best friends then, but I found out about her getting married through Facebook. The world is a strange place. But regardless, I need to travel to Target (where the happy couple is registered) and find something wonderful and wanted for them.
My summer seems to have filled right up, and while I realize I can blame traveling for a month and then two more weeks, along with working full time for a good part of that, i still feel like I ought to have a bit more free time. I guess after the MS ride I'll be done with multi-hour bike rides, but we'll see if that makes a noticeable difference or not.
