So here's my current mind-blowing revelation: only people from the metro-Detroit area call the clear glass sliding door that goes to the backyard a "doorwall." Present this word to an individual not from Detroit, and prepare to be met with incredulity, disbelief, and perhaps even hostility.  This fact was first brought to my attention by an individual from Whitehall (West Side), and further confirmed when playing pretend Catch Phrase.  Various websites have been perused to locate further information to back my cause, and probably the most helpful example of the word "doorwall" in use can be quoted from Urban Dictionary as follows:  "I call it a doorwall because I'm from Detroit and I don't know any better."

...who wants to call it a 'sliding glass door' anyway.
