Spring break has been going just swimmingly so far. I love time off from school, and i've actually been finding ways to fill up the time, so i'm not just sitting around being bored. Lots of reading. I read Ender's Shadow cause the sequel i was looking for was gone. It was a really cool book to read cause it was the same story as Ender's Game just told from a different character's point of view (basically). Then I read Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass in one sitting. I don't know if it was just because i was more familiar with the story, but I for sure liked Alice in Wonderland better. Now I'm working on Speaker for the Dead.
Also, my bike got to come in out of the cold garage and i fitted it out with it's new snazzy spedometer (which may or may not accurately report stuff, cause i kinda guessed on what size my tires are). So i rode that for about half an hour today, and it felt really good to be back on my own bike. It was way better than the stationary ones at the gym, since it's actually a road bike and not upright. It'll be even nicer when i get to ride it for real (like outside and actually going somewhere), but this is an acceptable start.
Lastly, I made a shirt! Not the actual shirt, but i was in charge of the decorations. It was pretty fun, i cut out stencils of all the different colors (which you can kinda see in the pic) and then used fabric paint. which i've got a ton left of. so if anyone wants to decorate anything they have with these colors or designs, let me know! I spent long enough on these stencils that i think i need to use them more than once, i just need to think of other things that i could make pretty with them....ideas?
The stencil for the words took the longest to cut out, since all the letters are supposed to look kinda rough and destroyed, but i'm super pleased with how it turned out! :-D
(by the way, Boys Like Girls is a band. just fyi.)
comment if: you like when the people on Jeopardy don't know the obvious answers (like The Princess Diaries).
