Soccer News
UP vs. FEU = First loss, 1-2. First game jitters? Well, it set us back a good three points so I don't see how that could be a good thing. Found my meetup group cheering me on the sidelines and good number of the alumni doing all sorts of foolish things to egg us on.
UP vs. UST = We won 1-0, I believe. Good game, that. Completely cut off their star player's distribution and paralyzed their right wing (aka attack).
UP vs. DLSU = We played a very defensive game, thanks to our coach, and drew them instead of winning. But our defense held them off so well it was so very exciting to watch.
UP vs. ADMU = We won 2-1; we were scored against in the first half, which made the bench very nervous. Good luck eventually held and we scored two goals on account of our striker.
So that's the end of the first round! So far, I think we're tied with UST for second place with DLSU on top, as usual. We're so sick of them winning all the time, boo. Hoping to see the lot of you on the second round! I do play better when fans watch. Hohoho!

Last Night's Wonderesque
I also attended the Woodrose batch "reunion" down at Melf's, in Grilla Rockwell after dropping Cat Deleon down at Mariposa. Since I didn't know where the grill was, I parked at Powerplant and found myself paying 45 bucks for a parking space that I only used for thirty minutes. ROAR. Either way, the faces I hadn't seen for such a loooong time made an appearance. Mia Espinosa, Big Barqs, and Jello. It was cam-whore night and I do believe I got tired posing for pictures all evening. And chewing on nacho's and cheese sticks.
Open bar, too, with tequila sunrises, shots, and beer to jollify the evening. I left sometime before midnight for Saguijo, where I found scatteredlight and dictum07, simmering outside and admitting that they were "avoiding half the people here". Hmmm. Got scorched by Gretch's cigarette, but I was too busy avoiding someone to make a fuss.
I left soon after, knowing that a certain Cebuano boy was in that gig (he found me, actually, and he was SMILING while he gave me a high five and a beso... like nothing untoward had happened, ever). I couldn't tell if I was angry or sad to see him but I was appalled (again!) that he could be so 'plastic' in this utterly insulting way. Good lord, I would've appreciated it if he pulled me aside and told me everything, or apologized, or something to scavenge what's left of our so-called 'friendship'! WHY am I even writing about you on my blog?!
Either way, I wasn't about to ruin my evening by hanging around, even if a bunch of protective rockers would've gladly taken me under their wing (I was thrilled to see you people, Gretch and Carla! Really, I was...I just had to leave without a word, though!).
Ugh, missed Urbandub for the umpteenth time since the year began. Oh well.
