Calorie Counting the Easy Way

Jan 27, 2009 09:38

I just found a phenomenal site called Calorie Count by About.com, which is a free service that:

1. Shows you how many calories you take in.
2. Calculates how many calories you burn.
3. Analyses if you're eating healthily via the "nutrition grade".
4. Keeps tabs on just about every nutrient you take in.

Provided you put in all the right fields, of course. It will also tell you what your calorie limit should be to lose a certain amount of weight at a date assigned by you. It provides workout data, food data, and just about everything you'll need to lose or gain weight, in a healthy fashion. It counts your carbohydrates, protein, fat, and other data related to your food and to exercise. It even calculates your BMI (body mass index).

I don't need to rely on a notebook and a hefty book to count my calories! I can simply log on to the internet, go to http://caloriecount.about.com and weigh in. It's a powerful motivation, on the second day of my diet, as I know when I'm eating too much or when I'm exercising too little. Plus I don't have to worry about my body going into starvation mode, which is when you eat less than 1,200 calories and your body starts to eat itself. So...no falling hair, 8 lbs. of steady weight loss a month, and a healthy outlook. CC is made of WIN.

To top it off, you can talk to experts and there are forums that will give you support on your bad or good days. There are even groups for your kind of weight loss.

If you're looking to lose some weight the healthy way and you have a steady internet connection, Calorie Count is the way to go.
