2009 & the Beginning of Everything

Happy New Year everyone!

New Year's Eve was a whole lot better than Christmas; my friends and I made it a merry affair. We had food a-plenty, scores of bad karaoke songs, and too much brandy. I didn't expect anything from my own family in Greenmeadows, so that made the New Year much easier. But I do thank Kris' family and my family in Libis as well as Burgundy.

Preparing for dinner was an extensive and tiring event; I think it took us 4 hours to prepare. The French guys were playing strip poker by the time I arrived home. I discovered Carlo was allergic to alcohol when he started getting really bad rashes and palpitations so Kris and I took care of him. Our Libis barkada was infinitely merry; it was infectious. I also appreciated the fact that a positive attitude could turn the tide and ease the transition to prosperity. It's a new year. We have a lot to look forward to!

I must say that the start of 2009 was one of the best. And I think I truly appreciated it because of the horrid Christmas; it made for an eye-opening contrast.

How was your New Year?
