Just an observation...
I once took in consideration the chances for the pairing Maurice/Maeter. I know some of you might be disgusted by the idea at first glance, but think about it, they are not related by blood so it is not actually incest. yet I think about what impact it might have on the perfect family that consist of Eureka, Renton and the three kids and it makes me wonder.
Suppose in a future [a very distant one I believe some of you might prefer not wander in] they end atracted to each other. At first I though the whole big brother protecs little sister [and little brother too, can't forget Linck] worked perfect for them and started wandering into the what-ifs and that stuff, then it occured to me what would happen if in between all that protecting somehow romantic love might seep in, thus this idea was formed.
Though it might work with Linck too [I am not forgetting about him] because he is younger than her I belive Maeter might be discouraged.
The kids have grown up knowing only a few people in their lives, the gekko-state. All of the members impacted on the way they see things. Most, if not all, the women in the gekko are strong willed [Gidget as the weakest one] and often get what they want. That includes Eureka though at first it may not seem so [she did went on her own to look for Renton]. And of all the guys are brave to some extent, dedicated to what they do, some are passive [like Stoner] while others are violent [think Holland] but they are very much alike in a sense and would not mind dying to protect what they belive is right, or whoever they love [that can be said about the girls too]
I have always considered Maeter to be a lot like Talho and Maurice similar to Stoner [but a bit more capable of taking his thought to action like Renton in the end of the series, now that I see it that way, Maurice is trying to be like Renton too]. Though the bit about Stoner is a dead give away in the series, because we see Stoner teaching Maurice how to take pictures and in some conceptual art Maurice is seen holding a camera. Linck is a bit more easy going and can't really pinpoint anyone that fits him well, but he might be a bit like Mathiew because they are both optimistic and kind of cheery[not because they look alike], beside Linck was a bit too small to see him grow too much personality wise as he is often seen following his two siblings or crying [but that is just because of his age]
The point of my last two paragraph rant is The grew up with exeptional models in life not you everyday normal boy or girl might fill in for a relationship. Besides when you have Eureka and Renton as their main role models it takes someone very special to reach up to their standards.
Will Renton or Eureka have a problem if it were to happen? Now that looks like something to ponder on, yet the answer is simple. For a Coralian and a Human that risked theyr lives for the sake of the planet and because they loved each other, I don't think they will shun at the idea.
The only problem would be Linck would feel left out, but he can get over it depending on his level of maturity.
Also the idea of having Renton, Maurice and Lick threathen every suitor that comes near Maeter would be very enjoyable. [plot-bunnies anyone?] I mean if when he was 5 Renton was protective of Diane igine him now...

Also I just caught up with the latest Naruto chapters [and Bleach but that was last week] and I am so very glad I did. Have a few things I want to say:
Naruto
1] Shikamaru FTW! He will always be my favorite character of all the 3 hundred 4 thousand billion characters Naruto has. Gotta love that lazy-bumming-shougi-playin'-genius.
2] WTF, Kurenai has a Asuma's child! she even has a ring on her finger, makes me wonder if they eloped or just as a memento. Just why did Asuma had to die...
3] At last Orochimaru is dead! rejoice as I won't have to be scared of creepy snakes creeping under my bed.
4] Looks like I underestimated Sasuke. From the begining I knew he was not that stupid as to go knowing he would be used by a parasite so I clung to the idea of him being rescued by his team right before the body transfer [now that I think about that plotline would have degraded Sasukes pride]. I belive he will return to Konoha willingly and will accept any punishment that comes his way. I belive so because he is not heartless and still won't kill if he can help it.
5] Who knew Sakura was a closet pervert *snickers*
6] Sakura has some serious competition! I have to say Karin reminds me a little of Sakura, yet I know Sakura is a much better and more dignified Kunoichi than her. Still I kind of like Karin and would love to see a battle between Sakura and her.
7] I really like Sasuke's team a lot <3. Get the feeling it will be very fun *grins*
Bleach
1] I love the fact that Bleach uses Spanish language for terms and few Mexican and Spanish references. First manga I know that has. <3
2] Kaien-dono! I just knew it was not him. About Kaien, I just found out he was married to another shinigami called Miyako. She kind of reminds me of Orihime, though we all know who does Kaien reminds us of jeje.
3] My OTP will forever be Ichihime, though I do not mind Ichiruki. Kubo is really making this arc enjoyable for me =) [and the whole series would be more amazing than it already is if it ends Ichihime]
4] Ulquiorra should have known he uttered his last words when he said that...
5] Ichigo's reaction was just...expected in a good way, I know for sure that chapter aroused the 'Ichihime/Ichiruki is better than thou' pathetic forum battles
6] And here I thought Grimjow had a change of heart...
7] Fear no more, Ishida is hear to save the day, with his spiting grasshopper looking sidekick.
