I had a good weekend, including cooking, reading, unpacking, sleeping, knitting, and friends in my living room. But I could really have used a three-day weekend--I noticed that I was getting my eyetwitch of exhaustion yesterday, after which I went home and took a nap, but then my new-apartment-induced feelings of responsibleness made me stay up late-ish so I could wash dishes and then make the bulgar salad that
Mac recently posted about. So I'm still really tired, and I managed to injure both my left elbow and my right thumb before 11am today. (I scraped my elbow on the very pointy corner of a shelf in my kitchen and then padded said shelf with bubble wrap, and I nicked my thumb with the razor blade I was using to open the box of eggs.)
Going back to good things: Both my kitchen table and my desk are now set up and holding boxes. I've unpacked a bunch of clothes and returned the bins I borrowed for moving them. I've moved a bunch more plants. I haven't bought lunch since last Tuesday (that is, I've brought lunch every weekday since then). The weather's been absolutely lovely. I ate about a quart of local, organic strawberries on Saturday.
But I'm still kinda cranky about having three of five eggs that were supposed to have E7 embryos today having either no embryo or a dead embryo.
