Its all coming to an end

so, i have less that 3 weeks left in rome. now while this in so many ways is sad, its also a joyful occasion.

things i have learned in Rome:

1. i can survive in a land that is not my norm and not end up crying after a week. this will be good for when i have to leave college in December after graduation and look for a really job, which lets be honest wont be anywhere near michigan (or just the U.P).
2. I cant stand roommates so if/when i live with others i need a room to myself so i can have me time.
3. I Love Europe.

Things that are going to happen when i get back:

1. culture shock- its inevitable. i never had it here and i have the lifestyle down now so the US is going to become a very foreign place soon.
2. Hopefully going to continue on my quest to be healthy a.k.a. vegetarian. (by the way im vegetarian). thankfully i will be 5 weeks strong on my vegetarianism so it shouldnt be too hard, but im not going to beat myself up over it. as my friend Chelsea explained her road to vegetarianism, she said that she gave up red meats, then all meats but when she wanted chicken (early on) she just had chicken.
3. im going to kick start my summer with trying to bike and walk everyday. i have to become healthy if im going to be able to accept myself.
4. have a kick ass summer (which starts with my layover in Detroit since my friends kelly and ashley are going to come see me for those 5 hours.) then its a few trips up north to help with Jens wedding plans. Trips down to visit Chelsea,Julia, Ashley and Kelly. Anddd if i get some money saved up a trip to Boston to visit Syndell. and of course staying in petoskey and hanging with the awesome people there.

i can honestly say, im glad to be going home but i know that soon im going to be back in europe and with some luck i get a job over here too.

well thats my life in a nutshell right now.

(oh and good luck with finals week NMU friends)

friends, summer plans, home, italy, life
