end of the year post
ok heres the final count down.
2 exams
1 paper
1 "class" (to finish up presentations, all i have to do is show up)
thats it, ill be done. i signed up to check out on thursday at noon, and then im away from NMU for a year+. off to Rome at the end of August, and having an awesome eurotrip during winter break.
i made it through the awkward year.
im not going to lie, i think i burned lots of bridges when i left in the winter of 06. i told no one that i was leaving except nikki (since she was my roommate), Jen, and my parents really. there might have been a few others but for the most part i didnt know how to tell my other friends what i was doing, and why i was doing it...even know im still trying to process it, and i know a major reason i left was because i had failed my second attempt at my proficiency. i hate failing and playing had never been a highlight of my music career. another reason i know was because nikki wouldnt tell me why she wanted to move out at break, and well that pretty much shattered what ever was left of my confidence.
but i came back, and other than a recent tough patch, this year wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be. the only thing that truly sucks is i dont think i want to do anything with a history degree. i love history, but i hate the paper work. but im going to finish, get a decent job somewhere, pay off my debt, and then maybe i will know what i want to do.
ok enough of the sob story, good luck with finals everyone. i hope that we all do great and have an awesome summer. :D
