So, as I said on Friday, I promised you I'd provide you all with a status update and here you are. For those of you who might be unaware, I have as of the 19th of September been engaged in taking night classes at Georgetown University as part of the year-long paralegal studies program they offer. The classes are pretty good and I've met some interesting people. I remain woefully single though I hope to change that at some point.
Said classes are Tuesdays, Thursday, and sometimes Wednesdays which explain why I tend to be scarce or why might seem a little frazzled or distracted when you d see me. I realise that since my classes met only once a week (2 on Tuesdays, 2 on Thursdays, with the odd man on Wednesday) and working only part-time, I might not be as busy or over-worked as mst of you but I just wouldn't be who I am if I weren't a professional worrywort.
I am also presently employed in a seasonal position as an administrative assistant for the Fairfax County Office of Elections. This means I alternativel yget to file voter reg cards, stuff envlopes, and provide my keen eye and sharp mind to ensuring that the information on the voter labels we have for those folks applying for absentee ballots matchs the adress they want it mailed to. While not incredibly satisfying work, it is work nonetheless and I welcome it. On an upside perhaps is that all the older wmen office treat me kindly and that they oftn bring in snacks such as cake and donuts for the rest of the office. On one occason there was even fudge.
On a sour note, someone has been vandalising the woods behind my house. They have taken cans of white spray paint and sprayed, trees, bridges, the creek bank, and the path. What irks me even more is that the soundrels have attempted cude social commentary, not because of their beliefs, but most likely because they thought t was funny. They spray-painted a stop sign on the road behind my house with the phrase "stop the war". Now normally, I'd have no issue with this sentiment, however, I cannot take seriously because the word "the" is sprayed beneath stop ad the word "war' above it. Further proof I hold that this is likely the work of drunken hollins is the fct that sprayed on the wall next to the aforementioned stop sign is the phrase "fuck Me". I cannot seriously think that any person trying to make a statement would write that next to the statement they supposedly feel strongly about and support. Needless to say, idiocy such as this is one more reason I hate kids.
