housing!
My building is being torn down at the end of the semester. Luckily there are 4 more mini dorms left for next year.... tonight was "In Hall Room Selection". We all wanted to collectively take everyone from Woodruff and swap them over to Marston, but we were running out of rooms there. So, all of my friends and I are collectively taking over an entire hallway of Eaton, the "Music & Performing Arts" dorm.
It's going to be awesome. We met a few kids from Eaton at the room selection thing and they were excellent folk who shared with us that an entire hallway was going to be vacated...why not take it over? So we are. I'm taking room 201, there's an empty double, Mikaela, potentially another Michaela and then on the other side, Maggie, Mike and Dave and then another empty room. Basically it's going to be amazing, and the people who get the double and the empty singles are going to be vastly confused as to what is going on. (It's pretty much been decided that our hall will be called Woodruff and we're goign to try to get the sign from it to hang there.)
Mike and Dave want to drill a hole and make a tin can phone for themselves. it's going to be excellent.
Even though I'm ridiculously sad about the untimely demise of woodruff, I'm incredibly happy for next semester!!
