Not quite weekly yet still webspew.
So I was warned last week that with Wilma coming on our call center in Boca would be off for the day to provide safety for the employees. Therefore I was expecting a few calls. Over 14,000 calls over a 4 day period I was not expecting. Wilma knocked out the grid and the Datacenters gens died. No power and the UPS can only run so long as can the servers without vent and AC. They came back up Tuesday. Everyone who had a server, email account, DNS, etc etc in Boca called in several times over it seems. We weren't at the front of it though since what we got was the rollover when our other call center was engaged on all lines. That still kept 5 techs answering 15 calls an hour each for several days. So after dealing with the sound and fury of I don't even know how many people I was finally able to get some breathing room on Wednesday. I was a bit fried and looking for some humor and what I found was a very funny cover of Baby Got Back. You can check it here. All credit and compliments to the artist. The other thing I found was a mashup on the webpage of an Atlanta radio station thats 50 cents In Da Club using the Benny Hill theme. Totally mind numbing and very funny when you just need to laugh till your eyes squeeze shut. Haven't really had much time for a lot of stuff the last few days. Trying to get better about that though.
