Now what? Of rooms and rings

~shuts the door behind himself, pausing to take a long look around the strangely unfamiliar room. It had been familiar when his mother had occupied the room, but now...it seemed he'd not seen it before in his life. Sighs, sitting down on the bed, listening to the queer silence of the room, feeling how it seems oddly....void. Looks down at his hands ( Read more... )

Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one from home here...I feel so out of place. I'm also, apparently, not the only amnesiac. *smiles* Mind if I sit and listen?

Go ahead, take a seat. You're not an amnesiac, you have memories all of your own. You're just confused because I've told you you've been here before. In a way that's true...a hobbit that carried your name was here. A hobbit that you used to be. I had to edit you, however. The Realm registered an error in you when we were trying to get things back in order...it almost destroyed you on its own. A few others were lost...Samwise, and Bilbo...not to return, and others were lost but will find their way again. Smaug, Sméagol....my mother, I hope. You were the easiest to find because you couldn't drift as far....I repaired what I could, and rebuilt. I expected you would come back here, though. It is easy to get here, and I believe you will enjoy yourself. Perhaps you have the faintest trace of memory of this place. No, not this smial but this...world.

.....So....who is everyone?

Bingo, Isengar, Tiger, Melba, Folco, Celandine and I believe Esmerelda. There may be more. You'll know those from the Realm--Sméagolm and Primula--when you see them. You'll meet them all in your own good time, and strike up associations. I wouldn't worry about that.

They all seem so close knit...I'm not sure if I could squeeze in, and make a place for myself.

......Where's your place in all of that?

You just seem so set apart from the others...like you don't know them all that well, or they make you uncomfortable...or something. And you look so sad when--

I'm sorry...you just looked as set apart as I feel. I was just....looking for a bond, I suppose. I can leave, if you'd like.

No, you don't have to leave. I am sorry...it's a sore issue. A...personal failing, that has hurt someone I love. I would rather not discuss it.

I'm afraid I'm a bit skittish around folks...especially those who are so---I suppose you would say it is vibrant, or full of potential. I seperated myself from my smialmates, though I am sure they would gladly accept me at any turn. I mostly stayed in, with my lover, or without him. They are good hobbits, though, don't they're not.

Please, do stay. A bond is a good thing to have.

I'm sorry to hear that. Wa---I'm sorry, nevermind.

*shakes her head* They certainly do seem "vibrant"! Yes, I have no doubts they're good hobbits. This is quite the smial...it seems so mixed, and so full of good feelings. It's a good place to be.

*smiles* Yes, it is.
