De-tendriling the smial

Attention Back End, I'm retracting those tendrils of mine. You really won't feel anything, because I'm not pouring energy into you or taking it thankfully!. So... I suppose you just have to take my word for it that I'm not 'spying' on your heart rates and the like anymore ( Read more... )

I'm glad they didn't hurt, Tiger! ~laughs~ Because if they did, then you're seriously sensitive to my energy, and I'd begin to think you were from my Realm without my knowing it.

~nods~ I hope that true Evilness never stops by our happy little Smial again, and that I don't have to make a big show of myslef again. ~shakes his head but smiles~

I think one of the misunderstandings is that... they're not really powers or anything. ~adresses this to other listening as well~ Nearly all the creatures and peoples in my Realm can do what I can, to a certain extent. Within our home land, it is a necessity to shape and form the enviroment, ourselves and even the time in order for us to live and continue living. The Realm is instability at the best, everyone trying to contribute their own versions of this or that place, this or that event... until we have alternates, time overlapping itself and other such things. We also live on the basis of energy consumption and production, much as your lives are sustained. A muse that does nothing, does not create, does not eat (or take in energy) or move out of one specific time frame begins to fade and either another, stronger muse consumes them, or the Realm does itself. Speaking of a stronger muse... the stronger the muse in comparison to its fellows, the more energy it can use to sway its fellows' actions, speech patterns and general automatic behaviours. The three strongest muses in the Realm are the basic creators... there is myself, Chaos and Order. Our trio has ruling power over any other in the Realm, I over them seperatly but not when they're combined (which rarily happens). My general function within the Realm is to create muses and their enviroments. I'm an energy processor, you could say. I also add the general filters, of preset behaviour and minor thought processes to the muses I produce. Then, I either keep them and continue to develope them (a bad idea, really) or hand them off to Chaos and Order. Chaos adds his own mixture of personality and preset behaviours, as well as memories, and then Order does the same. What the character will ultimatly be determines who they stay with the longest. Chaos and Order used to produce their own muses, but they always faltered and were consumed because they could not gain enough energy to maintain themselves properly. Chaos and Order are very adept at creating mindless masses, however. Filler characters. We stumbled across the trio-constructed idea and its been working fairly well since. Not that we've exactly been producing many new muses.
Above Chaos, Order and Myself is of course the Writer. Not that he says a whole lot concerning things that happen within our Realm.

....Well, anyways. Now that I have rambled. What I can do is a general, common characteristic of 'Realm-born'. Not any special or unusual powers.

Thank you for explaining yourself in such detail. I'll need to play back your speech in my mind several times in order to comprehend what all you've said.

You seem to be a very valuable asset to your Realm. You don't seem at all 'common' to me. But perhaps that is because I'm not of your Realm and what you say facinates me.

~laughs a little~ I'm sorry if I managed to confuse you more, I'm very good at that.

I'm valuable only when I'm needed. And as to me not seeming common... a king is no more great and talented than those who are not kings. Indeed many common people are more special and gifted than those who are kings. In my Realm you could call me a king... but I'd much rather be common. More fun, it is. ~little smile~
I'm glad you find it more interesting than frightening.
