I never expected Serah to be so reasonable! Given that she, other than Lightning, had a ton of time to think everything through and find the right words, of course what she says is more coherent than Lightnings part. But that's not all. Serahs logic about her only being able to get happy when Snow is really happy... brilliant! The way you put this conversation makes so much sense. And hell, you outline a grown-up and reasonable version of Serah that just can't be disliked. (Not even by me!) Well played! 😉
It's funny how Serah and Snow (out of all people!!) are the ones who knock sense into Lightning! And not vice versa! 😆
I can understand that Serah needs some space now. And somehow it made me think of your other one-shot in this universe, where it turned out that Serah was pregnant. Even though you said that both stories are not necessarily linked to each other, I had that dreadful thought that they might be, after all. And that "need some space" thing would be a perfect excuse to hide her secret. (But that would be material for a whole new , sad and complicated story that was born from my own sick imagination! I wouldn't want to read something like that myself! 😆)

At this point, if I'm not mistaken, the main plot line of your story has come to an end already. The main problem has been solved and so the story might end here. Congrats! YOU DID IT!! 😀
It's crazy that when you put the main idea of your story into words you could summarize it in one sentence. But look at how many thousands of words you wrote to come to this point! What an amazing work! I enjoyed every minute of it and hope that you did, too. THANK YOU SO MUCH! ❤❤❤

And still, there is some extra to enjoy. I'm gonna comment on that seperately!

Thank you so much! It's both amazing to finally finish it, but also, difficult to let go after writing 50,000 words in two weeks. I have to get my head out of this story so I can move on to the other, so I'm working on a few of the outtake scenes that were cut out of the manuscript for one reason or another. (Mostly for length, but also, it just wasn't necessary to have more smut in Chapter 17 after the 25 pages of smut in Chapter 16.) I posted one outtake already, and it's 4500 words after editing (it was closer to 6500 before I chopped another section off to post separately).

In order to keep those in, I would've had to make Chapter 17 into a chapter 18, and just have an additional smut chapter. It would've slowed the story down too much for no purpose other than self-indulgence. As it is, there's plenty of self-indulgent content in this story.

Thank you so much for all your support over the last decade. I still have the picture you sent me hanging in my condo. I love it. I hope you don't mind me using a picture of it as the cover on ff.net. I do have you credited, obviously.

Oh, I don't mind if you use the picture. Quite contrary, I appreciate the fact that you do use it! Technically, it's yours and you can use it wherever you want! :D
