bachelorette
Last night was Nicola's bachelorette party. It was super fun, except for when the guys had a shitty night and just had to intervene. We went to chinatown and got some chinese from an old crazy waitress that obviously had been drinking. We were there for quite some time. Her sister came in from Ireland and its really cool to hear her accent. Her accent is not too thick though, shes from Limrick (sp?). Then we went to Diversions. Which, whatever...but the guys didn't have a plan and met up with us and a lot of them weren't looking forward to it so it kind of was a downer (especially with minors having a 12 dollar cover charge) but we still had a wonderful time! Then we went back to their apartment and hung out which was just more drinking. I dunno, we never all hang out like that, so it was nice. Except for the guys lack of organization.
Today I woke up on Greg's basement floor. WITH HIM ON THE COUCH!!!! GRRRR! I was so mad, I was like THATS NOT FAIR!!! I come over to sleep with you and you ditch me for the couch! I was about to go upstairs in his bed. Jerk. Anyway weeeee had a fun night, AND THEN today I woke up and shoved my eyes in to go to the mall. I wandered aimlessly for a little bit and then went to Meijer to buy my dad a cheesy card and a shovel. Happy Dads day.
Then my mom and I went to target to get a tent for my bday. ITS SO SWEET!! It has two rooms with backdoors/windows and a screen porch you could set up little chairs and tables in. It was awesome. Hard to stake in the ground though. Got a double high air mattress, and a tent light that you magnet in and its pretty decent sized. So me and my dad set it up and he was automatically frustrated with it. I was just excited. Took it down. Been lazy ever since -- but with BBQ with cheese, coleslaw and homemade lemonade! How can you not be? i REALLY wanted to watch the sunset or go golfing tonight ... but I guess the pistons are on. Whatever.
Week left. Work, work, work, work, wedding, going away party, gone. U.P. here I come!!! I bet they are oh so excited. Me and a bunch of professors. oy.
