Happy Thanksgiving!!!
The Holiday Season has officially begun!! =D Time for Christmas Carols, lights and decorations, Christmas movies, trees, and SNOW!!! Speaking of which, we're suppose to maybe get some tomorrow ::crosses fingers::
Weds: Got to see my herdites for the first time in months. Sadly though, we were lacking in Tara K as her flight was cancelled on account of poor weather in Chicago. Grrrr. It wasn't a true reunion without you, TK. :( But I'm looking forward to seeing you on Saturday! Hope most of the herdites show up then as well.
Today: Woke up with 5 minutes to go before the Macy's Parade. Eep! I know I'm five years old, but I just love watching the parade. It's tradition! And lots of fun. Definitely means we need to watch "The Miracle on 34th Street" tomorrow night. Warning to all family members/relatives coming (yes Emily, that includes you :)). But it is such a good movie. We're talking about the original with Natalie Wood and Maureen O'Hara, of course. Still haven't seen the new one. What's the point in remaking something that was already so good and a classic?
And because I'm lazy....
Things that made Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, or just plain awesome:
~being woken up by my mom and grandmother at 7 when they start T-day dinner
~The Macy's Thanksgiving day parade
~too many cooks in the kitchen
~smelling turkey all morning
~RELATIVES
~toasts
~forcing myself to eat turkey seeing as it is Thanksgiving
~football on ALL day (not a plus =P)
~bugging my dad to put up the 12 1/2 foot christmas tree
~bugging my dad to let me drive his new pickup ^_^
~seeing the lovely and hilarious Miss Emily Kelly (whom I better see a lot more of!)
And now I'm off to distract myself until I reach a college bedtime.
