Ok, so let me rephrase things.
The beginning of spring break was awesome.
Right now I'm kind of a wreck, though. I cut my hair (it looks awesome, though) and I'm in the process of possibly fucking up lots of friendships.
I have no idea.
uughuguh.
I might as well break down my spring break now.
Monday:
Went to the city with Ben for comic book shopping. Went to peanut butter & co for lunch and my sandwhich was so peanut buttery i could barely move my mouth. Ben philosophized that Jonathan Richman had probabaly eaten there once before. I bet he did.
After that we went to St. Marks comics. Not that great of a place. The girl working there looked like a young version of Harvey Pekar's wife. Kinda tripped me out. Ben got caught looking at all the porn comics in the back, which I had accidently stumbled in to as well. Porn comics are ridiculous. I bought BellyButton comics #1 from Sophie Crumb, and Black Hole #1 by Charles Burns.
Then we rode the subway to get to Midtown Comics. We fucked up somehow with a "how can we lose?!" attitude. We ended up in Coney Island. hahah. I almost wanted to say "fuck it, lets just got to the aquarium," but we were on a mission for comic books. Aquarium another day, maybe. So we rode the subway for about an hour and a 1/2. On the ride back there was a group of ghetto girls and one was reading a book called Every Thug Needs a Lady and I started laughing so hard I had to press my face into Ben's shoulder so the girls wouldn't get their boyz to shoot me or something.
We finally got to Midtown Comics and it was very very hot in there. Ben checked out some X-Men stuff while i wandered around the graphic novels section. I purchased "Be a Man" and Clumsy by Jeffery Brown, Bi-Polar #1, Love & Rockets #1. I was going to get some Art Spiegelman book for my drawing teacher, but when I asked the cashier how much it was he replied "too much," so I backed down. I'll get it for him off the interweb, I guess.
We then went to the bus stop to go home. Mission complete. We got at the end of the line and some little kid in a Green Day shirt fell down and we laughed a lot cause it was kinda cute kinda ridiculous. We found that people had actually lined up for the bus wrong, and we were at the front of the line! So that was kind of cool. We ate spicy peanut butter sandwhiches on the bus and they were awesome. My feet were so tired when we got back.
Tuesday:
I wanted to have a talk with Ryan, cause he's been somewhat depressed lately, so I went to hang out with him. He didn't talk though. We made our way to Ben's since Tim was at work and Steve was in school. Ben said he was going to Bear Mountain with Tom in like 15 minutes. We ended up joining. The scenery was really beautiful. We hiked and climbed a lot and I got really overheated and thought my quads were gonna implode. Finally we made it to a really high plateu. There was some random family up there and they asked if we had found sunglasses on the trail, which I had, so we handed them over. That was really random. We hung out there and it was soo serene. I took a couple photos. I was really proud of myself. We ate spicy peanut butter sandwhiches again, but this time with celery and raisins. It was rad. On the climb back down I almost sprained my ankle like 5 times, but managed to be okay. When we reached the end of the mountain, Tom got this idea that we should all steal a paddleboat and ride it in the lake. Ben and I went "ehhhhhh...we'll stay over here." Tom and Ryan then went to attempt to steal a boat, but Tom backed out, because he said it meant nothing if we didn't all participate. On the ride home I kept my eyes closed 3/4 of the way and watched all the colors that I could see threw my eyelids and stuff. It was like being a human kaleidescope. I can barely remember whatever happened after that. I'm pretty sure it was uneventful.
Wednesday:
I stayed home and read and sobbed a bunch while everyone else was out "partying." I tried to get my bike back from Steve's, but he didn't want to bring it back or no time was convienent or something. I flipped out and grabbed my aunt's bike from the basement. I brought it up and then outside. I worked on it for about 2 hours until I realized no matter how much I tuned it up and made the seat as low as possible, it was still going to be much too big for me. Stupid man-size aunt. Ugh.
Thursday:
Uneventful, probabaly. I can't even remember.
Yesterday:
Was supposed to go shopping with Jordan, but he decieded against it. Ryan picked me up and it was surprizing. We blasted Good Clean Fun and Manowar. I'm pretty sure that was the most exciting part of the day. I ate some flowers too. Then Ryan, Ben and I just all hung out on Steve's sister's bed, because its fucking huge and we told terrible jokes and made voices and talked about being high and hiding the rye bread. I even rapped a bit. It was crazy. Give me a topic, so I can rock it. I found out that Jhonen Vasquez is still kinda cool in my book, even though he's a goth bastard.
Today:
