I have spent the entire afternoon and a good chunk of the morning preparing our taxes with my hubbie. I do all the inputting of the data even though he is the one with the Business Administration degree and background. Why, you might ask? Because I have more patience to carefully read and research what needs to be put where. We learned five years ago that the number of arguments were greatly reduced if I was the one to read all the questions since I was the one that wanted to have them read before we inputted the data. He sits and watches TV, handing me the forms that I call out for. It works in the long run. At least we aren't screaming at each other half way through the process.
I have completed #1 son's taxes for him, and will be mailing them out shortly. I am awaiting information from #1 daughter so that I can finish hers. Then it is on to the college financial aid forms. Being #1 son has applied and has been accepted at three institutions, that means Mom gets to complete three financial aid forms. Luckily, #1 daughter only has one.
I think my hubbie got the better end of the deal. My brain is fried.
ETA: He did make me lunch and supper. It was the least he could do.
