Star Trek Beyond soundtrack is fantastic! *****Some Spoilers*****
I finally got the CD of the soundtrack that I had pre-ordered. My plans were to rip it to my iTunes, but my stupid CD/DVD player on my computer was acting up again, so it was screwing up the importing. Rather than dealing with that mess, I just downloaded the whole album from iTunes.
I've been listening to it this morning since I got back from my walk. I want to be familiar with the songs so that I notice them during my next viewing of the movie, which will be this afternoon. Number 6. (Yes, I know I'm obsessive.)
Anyway, back to the music. I love so many songs. There's snippets of music from the other two movies weaved throughout these songs. But I have to say that my favorite is "Night on the Yorktown," the music that occurs when we see the inside of Yorktown and watch the Enterprise going through their docking system to dock. I swear I get the chills listening to the orchestral and choral surge as the Enterprise comes to a halt. LOVE THAT PART!
I need to try to make a ringtone of those 30 seconds. Don't know who will get that particular ringtone. Maybe #1 daughter. Currently, she and #1 son have a snippet of "Enterprising Young Men" from Star Trek (2009). I already have the Star Trek Beyond Main Theme as my default ringtone. Downloaded that yesterday.
I have an idea that I'll be listening to this album on repeat all day. Now I just have to find a couple of Star Trek Beyond icons and I'll be set.
My three movie posters came while I was at Hubbie's place, and they are gorgeous. I decided that I needed the poster with the ship rising through the sky, too. That's coming in the next couple of weeks. I have silver frames picked out. Now I just have to order them.
Yep, it's definitely a Star Trek Beyond theme, and I think that's going to continue for a while.
