the day in preview
Well the office internet connection is up again, so unlike last night, now I can actually work some overtime and get some important stuff done. Like updating this journal.
Not much to review this time, though. So instead I'll preview. I'm heading down to Jessie and Jeff's at around 5:00, for a July 4th cook-out followed by a walk up to the Capitol to watch the fireworks on the Mall. It's nice to have friends who live on Capitol Hill - not quite as nice as having friends with a boat on the Potomac, but still not bad.
I'm supposed to meet Nancy at 6:20 am tomorrow at the Sidwell track (I guess that's why she canceled last time - 6:30 was too late for her). I'm not sure how that's going to turn out, given that I probably won't be getting to sleep very early tonight. Fortunately, Brendan and Nancy are going to be at the cook-out and fireworks as well, which means she won't be getting to sleep any earlier than me, so there's always a chance she'll bail again. I just need to make sure she drinks a lot of beer this evening.
