Fan Fic Nit Pick
Dear fan fic writers,
When you have a character write a letter, you don't have them write it with the accent they speak with! People are taught to write in a universal style, regardless of their own speaking idiosyncrasies. Just because your character has an accent doesn't mean he is going to spell "nothing" as "nothin'" or "my" as "mah" or "get" as "git". *smacks hand to forehead in disbelief* And it's not even an isolated incident! I've seen it in several stories from different authors!
