In past years we have always done a litany of the dead at Samhain for the DC Radical Faeries. The list is a compilation of close friends, activists, icons and saintly figures we claim as part of our GLBT brethren, sisteren and otheren. I had to dig through my archives back to 2007 to find this list so that I could update it with the most recent years of people who need to be on here, including today's newest ancestor, Frank Kameny.

The details for when and where we will be holding DC Radical Faerie Samhain have yet to be determined. But I will post them as soon as I can figure it out.

Litany of the Dead

This list is by no means comprehensive, but rather representative. It does grow and change each year, and many of the names are included because they have been desired to be included by Faeries here in the District. And I've stopped numbering them, because the numbers just look sad. There is no rank, there is no time. They are all one with the ancestors now.

Edited to add: Arthur Evans. It completely escaped my mind that he passed away a month ago.
