The other night I started reading Robert Graves's "The White Goddess." I find it interesting some of the things he says that I know have since been refuted, but which have been unbelievably influential in creating the lingua franca of modern Paganism, i.e. the triple goddess, the gods of waning and waxing year, etc.
Apart from his influence on Gardner, I was kind of surprised to find that he's also the author of "I, Claudius." Which makes me ask myself the question of "why haven't I seen/read this yet?" I mean, Sir Derek Jacoby, seriously. What has taken me so long to watch this?
I'm putting in the request to get it from the library tomorrow.
Anyone else read "The White Goddess?"
