What I'm Watching: Fall edition

Terminator

So, over the last couple weeks JD and I have watched all of season 1 of Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. While I wasn't as huge a fan of the Terminator franchise as he is, I did enjoy the show. What I liked about it most was that you never knew who was playing whom and to what end. There are a dozen questions left hanging at the end of the season and I'm looking forward to catching up with this season.

Heroes

I like where this is going, where you don't know who's going in which direction and who can be trusted. The reveal at the end of this week's episode was a big "WHOA" moment for me. It explains a LOT.

Chuck

I haven't seen this week's episode, but I'm glad that they've reatained the practice of putting in one subtle joke per episode. The use of "Foux de Fafa" by Flight of the Conchords when he went into the Orange Juice Bar where Sarah worked was priceless and had me on the floor laughing.

Dexter

I've got the first three episodes saved, but we haven't watched them yet. I can hardly wait!

Runway

I think it ended on a high note, because Leanne's collection was amazing and it garnered huge applause. That's the kind of flawlessness and bravado that you need in a runway show to be successful. I hope she becomes a household name.

Tim Gunn's Guide to Style

Still getting caught up with it, but I like where it's going. The life size optitex thing is awesome (on the little screen everyone looks squat and fat). I can't wait to see last night's smackdown.

Adult Swim Anime

Adult Swim can [insert creative expletive here]. The few shows that I actually watched they shoved down to freaking 5:00 a.m. on Sunday morning (when no one is ever awake and watching cartoons). Also they're changing their lineups way too fast and not updating the cable companies, or they're intentionally screwing up their lineup to force people to record the wrong shows. I can't tell you when the last time I actually saw a Saturday night lineup in an AS bump. All I ever see is Mon-Thur, and Friday. AS was a great place for anime on the weekends. What the hell happened? Why are you ruining my one source of great anime?!
