Quiet weekend

Friday: I came home to find the tee shirts that I'd ordered from Scary-Go-Round had arrived. I was very happy with that. I got "Bears will eat you" and "Books Rule!" It was good times. :)

Saturday: Went shopping with dmlaenker, acubpella and georgieboiz for some shorts because I found out that not only were my Inuyasha and my Bathory tee shirt missing I was also missing a turtleneck, a red and white checked shirt and my nice orange shorts. So basically I had no shorts I could wear to work. So we went to the mall and had our shopping experience. I got 2 new pairs of shorts at Old Navy and went on with browsing. After that we went to dinner at Neisha and then came back to play some card games. And then watched Toonami and the rest of the Saturday night anime lineup.

Sunday: Went out with dmlaenker, sqrlcub and Kurt to go see "A Scanner Darkly." As JD put it, "it was the Phil Dickiest Phillip Dick movie I've ever seen." I think that's probably the best way to describe it too. I think Linklater's cartoon filming technique was ideal for the story. As I think back over the film there were all kinds of little subtle hints and things that make the ending a little more interesting too. So, I say B+. I liked it, but it wasn't mindblowingly good.

After that we went back to my place and played "Clay-O-Rama." Basically you create a monster out of Play-Doh and then using the rules you give him fighting stats and then you attack all the other players until they die and whoever's clay critter survives is the winner. Oh, it was FUN! We're definitely going to play that again.

Last night I basically watched a bunch of tv and called a bunch of people. Nothing much.

Edit: Word of the weekend: Hotique
I just remembered that JD used this word this weekend and I couldn't resist retyping it. I have also upped the ante by using the phrase "Ho Couture."
