And so my purpose has been realized.

Last night, I was so exhausted from running around all week like a chicken with my head cut off, I decided that I needed to do something for me. So I picked up Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for the box.

All that I can say is, "...That's MISTER Dark Sith Lord to you, smartypants."

I am very excited. I don't think I've EVER seen a videogame that lets you play the 'badguy'. If it's a variant game, like "Opposing Force" for Half-Life, and in the original game you were the 'goodguy' and now you're taking the role of one of the people the 'goodguy' was fighting against for his freedom, or non-deaditude, you would think that it would then make you the 'badguy'. But the game takes a different point of view, explaining away the fact that you're trying to kill the guy you were in the first game.

Mario and Wario. Another classic example. I think they were childhood enemies, and Wario had to go through years of counseling, and then Mario screwed it all up again... Stuff like that. I'm not making much sense, I'm sure...

But the thing that's great about this game, is that I get to play a character who can go either to the light or dark side of the force... and it all hinges on whether or not I feel like rescuing some poor, helpless innocent. Or finding some poor person with a bounty on their head, and bribing them to keep it a secret, and then collecting the bounty on them anyway.

And never once is my character attempting to justify his actions with excuses. He's evil. I played him that way from the start, for the simple fact that it's never been an option for me before.

Anyway. The first time I got to play it was late this afternoon, because studies are more important, so I wanted to make sure I got some sleep last night.

As it is, I have the entire weekend off, so that will be very exciting.

Anyway... Hope you're all doing well. Sorry for the post. Just needed to get the excitement out.
