Well that, Santa, The Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy all got together and took cyanide pills.
It seems that whenever an athlete does something amazing lately it amounts to nothing but questions.
But to give them the benefit of the doubt, a test can come back as positive for almost anything that sometimes isn't illegal.
Gatlin was tested three times in the event on Saturday. He failed one test. As for ALL his achievements going down the drain? Not so much, he had been tested about 100 times before then and never failed one.
The piss test I feel is too inconsistent and that it should be up to arbitration to weed out the test that come out positive for reasons other than illegal substances. I mean Ricky Williams was suspended because he got another positive test. But not for weed, for a holistic substance that he was taking that had nothing to do with performance enhancing. But they still suspended him because it was a positive test. That kinda bureaucracy has no place in drug testing especially when someone's career and reputation are at stake.
Its a weighty subject but I understand the apathy. Athletes are supposed to be the real life superheros, its a shame when even they can be made into fakes.
