No More Desk Jobs
I´m going to say that Cartagena, Colombia sucks as a place to work in. Everyone wants your money, so scams abound. If an attractive girl talks to you out of the blue, it´s probably because she thinks you have money, wants a Visa, or both. Also, the beaches are subpar and everything is expensive precisely because it is a tourist location.
The one thing I get out of this place is that I can no longer do this line of work - that is, an office job in a cushy locale with five-star amenities. I was much happier in the dirt and stench of Afghanistan. The work felt more rewarding. With that said, living that kind of life will kill me as surely as this current job bores me.
