Sneak peak at my wedding gown?

Hooray to my wedding gown designer sending me the prints and layout of my dress! I have a choice to make...

The Layout of my dress. Look carefully at the embroidery design which he drew out for it... I have a choice between this and the embroidery on a dress I saw in his shop. Let me know what you think... At this moment, I'm leaning towards this ( Read more... )

I'm leaning to the first, based on the drawing, but if possible, I'd rather see how it'd look in real life first before making the final decision.... can he do a sample embroidery?

It might cost me because with embroidery, i think they have to do a template for the machine? hmmm... what do you think would go wrong?

not really wrong, per se, but I'm more interested in how it actually translates. But you're right about the cost though, so lemme take another look here...

(it's just I have a weakness for the filigree effect as shown in the sketch, but fussily, I thought the rl embroidery ... 'stems' are a little too thick.)

Hmmm, I think I do like the sketch better. I dunno! ^^; I mean, now I start to wonder how the effect would look like with beading, if it's too much or not... but seriously, don't mind me. I'm beginning to see this is not really my style, and you shouldn't let my bias influence you in any way. :)

Overall, I love the cut of your dress. Very clean, very elegant. And the idea of the embroidery details is ace... am sorry am not v. helpful with the final decision?? ^^;

Me also likey the design specially for you, because it does seem more "you" than the one all ready made...

In terms of how it actually translates, maybe you could ask for the sketch of the already-made design, and that would give you an idea of how a sketch translates into reality.

You know, it's really funny... the more I get into the whole 'wedding vibe' thing, the more i'm convinced I don't like originality. Lols! I do love the classic 'it's been done' look. I'm going to opt for pearls and an 'up' do for my hair to go with it and a veil that reaches mid torso.
