Going Dutch

So our theme for the local 12th Night event this year is Dutch.  I had idly thought how cool it would be to have wooden clogs for the event and dismissed the idea, since I figured it would be highly unlikely that I would ever find said shoes.

Yesterday was a lovely fall day - cool, but not too cold, sunny and pleasantly breezy.  I'd had a particularly exhausting day at work and decided it would be a lovely day to walk up to Main Street to catch my connecting bus, rather than wait for the first bus to get me there (it's very often late plus it takes me farther back along the connecting route, so it's actually faster for me to just walk for 15 minutes to catch my bus further up the route).  Since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to pop into an antiques/junk shop nearby before catching my bus.

Guess what I found there?  Wooden clogs!  Authentic Dutch unfinished wooden clogs in my size - for $12.  Mwahaha.

Now I need to start idly musing on how cool it would be to find the winning lottery ticket numbers and see if that works too.
