Well Scotty. I wouldn't have dropped him like a bad habit (which turns out he is) had he been a little more considerate about my breakthrough. I discovered something very serious and dangerous about myself that could've drastically changed (potentially ruined) my life. He treated it as though it was just something I should accept about myself. I cannot accept it, I have to change it. He helped me lie to my girlfriend (who I love truly and deeply) about blacking out for 12 hours and thusly helped me come up with a medical excuse for it. I know Dan was trying to be my friend, but if he really wanted to be my friend, my TRUE friend he would've stopped me and said, "Hang on man. This isn't right. Take a closer look at what you're doing." REGARDLESS of his personal feelings for Cara he should've been the bigger man. I'm sorry that the burden of what happened is falling on your hands. As his brother you should be there for him, because I'm sure he needs support. It was not easy for me to do that to him because I know how Dan is. I can't continue being his friend because he betrayed me first. And I've discovered something so powerful and beautiful that I can't turn my back on it. Someone will always get hurt by the decisions we make. It's inevitable. I hope you can forgive me for what I did and I forgive Dan, but I can't be his friend anymore.
I'm not going to hold it against you, you did nothing to me. Daniel treats people that have backstabbed me and what not like they're the best thing (paul)(ben) so that is my least of concerns. I just want to understand why things had to go down as they did. For him being my brother, I will defend him, but I would like to get all the facts in detail before I make any judgements.
