It's that time again...
M IS DOING A FLIST CUT!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The flist cut is happening for various reasons, the most important of which are listed below.
Many people have added me exclusively for my fics, which I will no longer be posting in this journal. From today onward, this journal will act as my personal space to use as, well, a journal. All future fics will be posted at friskyfiction, and cross posted to their according communities.*
Any and all announcements/entries involving my fic will be posted to my community and made exclusive to members, so as not to interfere with the fics themselves. Oh hey, guess who is OCD?
So, if you're enjoying the fiction but not really interested in the personal life of a blathering idiot starved for attention, then please feel free to watch and/or join my community and unfriend here. This will not affect the way that I interact with you in any fandoms and/or communities in which we're both involved. I mean, come on. We're all adults, right?
The other side to this is that I have a few users on my flist with whom I no longer speak, or have anything in common with, for that matter.
Now before you misunderstand me, let me say this: diversity is fun, being ignored is not. I'd much rather have a smaller flist with which I am building friendships and being an active part of their online or offline lives than to be a number on someone's profile page. Very, very basically put, if we're not talking/commenting/emailing etc, then we're not really friends anyway. (Look at me, following in the footsteps of a very young, very wise jaded_jamie)
The difference between previous flist cuts and this one is that I once said that if you had ever commented on my journal, I would not defriend you, but that no longer holds true. I realize that people change and move on, and this is no exception online. As such, if we aren't talking anymore then I'm going to cut you.
*NOTE:
- All of my old fics will be cross posted to my community as well, but left public here for those of you who saved any of them to memories.
THE RULES:
It's really quite simple. If you want to remain friends on this journal, comment on this entry. At the end of the week, I'll go through the comments, and whoever did NOT reply here will be cut. That's it in a nutshell.
EXCEPTIONS AND ADDITIONAL NOTES:
If you have been offline all week for some reason, and therefore unable to see this post and I've cut you, comment here and let me know that you want to remain friends. Accidents happen, yo.
Finally, I realize that all of this sounds a bit bitchy and horrible, but it's really for the best. I've been so busy lately that I've felt like an awful friend. I really just want to be sure that those of you who stay are getting 100% of my attention when I'm here. It's hard to read all the posts and fics, but if you're on my list, I want to know that you're getting the responses you deserve.
Because really, I do love you. Very, very much.
