Military Ball 2007

Nov 11, 2007 09:12

Wow... I have never danced so much in my entire life. The military ball was awesome, needless to say.

Kyle and his brother Corey picked me up, and we drove to PESH. The whole thing started out with the posting of the colors, then the National Anthem and a lot of toasts-- to the Army, our country, etc. After the toasts, we were led in a prayer for our troops, and were then released to the buffet table. All of the food was awesome.

After food, they opened the dance floor... and let me tell you, they played every conceivable song you could possibly dance to... from Soulja Boy to Cotton-Eye Joe. I only sat out for three songs, two of which were slow songs. I did dance three other slow ones, though-- twice with Kyle, once with Brandon.

Have you ever witnessed a ballroom full of teenagers doing The Time Warp, then Thriller, The Cha-Cha Slide, Jump On It, and The Macarana? Oh, my lord, it was so much fun! I took a crapload of pictures, too. Here are some of my favorites:

Kyle and me beforehand (I accept no responsibility for any vision problems that stem from my pasty-paleness. XD It's November! My skin hasn't seen the light of day in a good three months!)

Desi and Kelsey

My beautiful daughter Karen (<3), with Zen and Desi

Matt (Karen's boyfriend) and Karen

(L to R) TC, TC's date (don't know her name), Kyle, Brandon, Kevin, Corey, Lexi, John, Karen, and Matt

Big group of awesome people. :) That's me in the middle, between my homegirl Chelsea Cole and Zen. And we're all sort of looking to different places because three people were taking pictures of us at once.

I had some video of everyone doing The Time Warp, but I accidentally erased it. :/

Oh, and Zen was voted Platoon Princess! It's like the ROTC version of prom queen, I guess. I actually voted for Karen. (Shh!)

Much love,
Tisbee
