So back at work, wednesday there are ANNPs in (midwives training to do our job) which is fine espeically if you are in SCBU (which I am) as they wrok till five so I can catch up on paperwork. It is less good if you are ITU as at 5 you end up stuck in ther till 10pm not having a clue about who the babes are or what has happened but Ce'la vie.
Anyway as paperwork motivation is lacking I thought I would update here instead.
So going back a bit, eventually finished my rather emotional week of nights adn did go to the Cecilian pub Crawl...Turned up at Curlers to find a couple of Irish priests, Ali in liederhosen, a few Aussie criminals, A few Vikings and a stripy topped Beret wearing group. Ah..so there was a theme. I joing in with Spewie's team on the Irish front later getting a windmill, palmtree, Shamrock drawn on my cheek in eyeliner. mcuh alcohol was consumed adn I chickened out before going to cheesy on the grounds of utter exhaustion and sat in the park till Ian hinted that perhaps home would be wiser!
Saturday involved some significant sleeping before being convinced that Edinburgh's beginners Dance was where I awas meant to be. It was much fun, good to see people, pretty good programme and was led astray by certain Aberdonians who convinced me that midbreak cocktails were a good idea! After after ball party and much discussion of boobs I convinced Ian that sleep was once again a necessity and we went back to my Nonna's flat (for the last time as it has now been sold) and slept-ed.
Sunday involved helping parents go through some of Nonna's stuff before venturing back to Glasgow for fireworks in aid of Julie's birthday (well really probably in aid of Guy Fawkes and glasgow's firework display in reality) but Spewie though it would be good fun thing to do fo her B-day (unfortunately the lady herself couldn't get back in time but we went along and it was bright and sparkly.)
Then next wekk not much excitement - finished stripping and painting hall, slept silly amounts on a daily basis, went to dancing, maybe went shopping. Not really sure where that week went but was good.
Come Saturday evening an had managed to convince me that Dunedin dance would be good so we ventured through that way. It was very good, scary how many dances I never remember. But programme was fun, it is amazing how many dances we can get through without walkthroughs!
Sunday was last day of holiday and although Ian wanted to have a round-trip to Aberdeen to reset his serer he had crashed we decided that would be best left until Monday and we went for a walk up the Whangie (some rock thing near bearsden. It was fun and pretty althoguh my walking trainers were kinda ickky due to bogginess afterwards.
Week ended with a lovely Roast dinner.
then back to work, discovered on monday that I had a presentation to do on Tuesday (alwasy fun) but did eventually by 2am on monday get finished.
Now we are at today...wonder what might happen next...
