Musical Selections
Hoping one, or more, of you can help me out here.
What pieces of music would one most likely be playing on the piano in 1817 in a social situation with a small group of people? Violin and piano? I guess I'm looking for greatest hits of the early nineteenth century :) I really enjoy listening to classical music, but I'm not terribly knowledgeable about it. I'm not sure if music from say this album would also be played on a keyboard, or if they are strictly compositions for stringed instruments.

Later: getting just the right term for a search seems to help. Fourth attempt seemed to garner some results. Like this forum where the topic is my question.
