Washing
I've just spent hours doing research for the flashbacks in my latest fic, which is set in 1866 New Mexico. One of the things I was trying to find out was if the hand pump for water would have been inside a kitchen by that time period. I'm thinking yes, though I havne't found a definitive answer. But along the way, I found an interesting article on "The History of Washing". There's some useful information in there.
