I was never that into Peter and Olivia as a couple and now whenever they have scenes together all I can hear is Peter saying "You're the one stopping this relationship" or whatever douchey thing he said in 6B. Total asshole, Olivia is better off not remembering their relationship, THERE I SAID IT.

If you are shipping a pairing it takes a lot more than one comment you don't like to stop shipping them.
You're right, it does. For me, that comment was the last straw. All season I had seen people in fandom say--un-anon-- that altOlivia was so much better than our Olivia because she was more willing to be in a relationship and more open and sexual. So Peter's comment seemed like an affirmation of that, that Olivia could not and should not be allowed to approach a relationship at her own pace. I don't understand why people ship something if they don't like or respect one half of the pairing, which is what some (though not all) P/O shippers came off as. With everything Olivia had been through (kidnapping, brainwashing, not to mention how her last relationship with a co-worker ended), she should be able to say "I'm not ready for a relationship now."
If Peter had just said "I want to work through this with you," or something similar, I wouldn't have had a problem. But it was so accusatory, and it really rubbed me the wrong way. So

I do not dislike, but I just have no real interest in Peter/Olivia. I do root for them on screen sometimes, but I'm a multi-shipper in general so I like when fandom writes a bunch of different non-canon or close-to-canon pairings. I thank the fringe kink meme for all the writers who've humored us (rare?) multi-shippers :D

Agreed... I was enjoying the new season up until Peter came back and then I realized I didn't care at all about Peter. I don't care how out of place he feels or that no one remembers him. I haven't even watched all of the second episode he was in (the time loop one) or the episode after that. I just don't care.

I like amber!verse Lincoln. I don't know how unpopular that is, but I keep coming across people saying they think he's boring.
I'm okay with Peter/Olivia, but I don't like how the relationship developed, and I didn't like the backstory with them meeting in Jacksonville as kids. And part of me would have liked them to remain just friends on principle, because I don't like how male and female leads are always paired up.

+1 to all of this
I wish when Peter and Olivia met as kids it could have been an in passing they see each other but don't have any interaction or if there was conversation/interaction it was super brief and unimportant instead of the stuff we got, which felt like they were just hitting us on the head with the ~destined to be~ aspect of their relationship

Totally agree. I would like P/O more if not for the destiny thing. I get how that is romantic, but it just doesn't work for me. Maybe I'm less romantic that way, but I'd like to think that one could meet any number of great people in different worlds and still be happy and fulfilled in life. I guess I'm one of the minority who don't believe one person is a be all end all love. blue-verse Lincoln and Olivia for example-- which the show stopped in it's tracks, could have been great. I understand why they can't go there, but still makes me sad.

Yes! I really didn't like the *~destined~* thing. Like the other anon said, it just doesn't appeal to me or strike me as that romantic, and it kind of cheapened the relationship for me. Also, I feel like a lot of the other relationships on the show (in general) are a lot more interesting and nuanced. I liked how Peter/Olivia developed at first, because it was pretty gradual. But it felt like the destiny thing was being used as a shortcut and a way to add epicness when their relationship didn't really need that.

I don't actively DISLIKE P/O, but somehow I was never particularly interested, and the ~destiny~ thing was a HUGE turnoff for me as well, to the point where P/O lost all credibility to me. Again, I don't dislike them, I just don't CARE.
At this point I'd really rather see Olivia end up with Lincoln. Both as a partner and as a lover.

I turned off the episode the second I could see that is was going there, that's how disgusted I was by that entire ~fate~ thing.
