Global warming entry number two
So what did I tell you guys about global warming in my previous, previous, PREVIOOOOOUUS blog? Here are some excerpts: (February 6, 2007)
"for the past two weeks, it was pretty cold in Cagayan de Oro. we had rainy nights and windy days..
maybe those news about the ice caps were true-that they're starting to melt and perhaps the Philippines is going to have a shift on the weather. it was awful. don't get me wrong--i love the weather and the coolness it brings to our classrooms, but what about global warming? what about the things we did that caused this (maybe soon to be) phenomenon?
scary but cool."
My goodness, it's happening! And IT IS NOT COOL. What the heck, I can't believe I wrote that.
Let's act on what we've started. Humans can be very careless and apathetic about what we're all doing to destroy the earth, but it is also our responsibility to clean up our mess. Throw your trash properly. Stop cutting trees. Reduce burning stuff like paper and plastic, or do not burn at all. As for the flood victims, donate clothes, bags, cash, and other stuff to the nearest place that accepts donations. It won't hurt to give to those who are badly in need.
It all starts in YOU! Things as simple as these can be attained by an individual.
