Gentlemen, gentlemen, hold it! A commendable performance, but the time has passed for the Tchaikovsky.

Well, less use in keeping this ongoing, isn't it?

Gentlemen, it's been a privilege playing with you all tonight. Now, do count off properly.

Mr. Crehador? You're aboard that ship? For the moment--damn it all, and now that it's sinking--

Well, of course I'm aboard it, Earl - you and I said our farewells on the dock, don't you remember?

Ah, and a lifeboat - Excusez-moi, s'il vous plait laissez-moi dedans. Déplacez-vous plus de, pas vous?

Perhaps in your mind we did. I don't recall it.

Have you found a lifeboat with room for you? There aren't--I've been told there are only a few of them left.

I managed to procure some space - now, now, mind the Stradivarius. It's certainly worth more than the shawl you've got on, woman. Ah, Earl...? I'm not certain where this boat shall lead us.

Good. To safety, hopefully, and back here to shore. You can't be that far out at sea.

Oh, don't pray to God for my welfare, Earl - for the beneficence He so displays will surely not rule me out. Out at sea, and with my dear Stradivarius... such misfortune, what hath been wrought upon me. I shan't wish to see what water does to such a fine instrument....

If you're in the lifeboat, you're far above those who have found themselves in the water. You'd do better to count your blessings.

And such pleasantries you've at your disposal, Earl - I hope you'll maintain that magnanimous spirit, should I return to safety.

I'm sure I will, and I'm sure you will. And you'd do everyone else in your boat a favour if you were to row, of course.

Why, someone already is bestowing such a favour upon us, Earl.

Maaaaaybe. Never do know what's next around the bend, hmn?

Perhaps a strain of a rondo for the time being... fingers, s'il vous plait, cooperate.

People are dying around you and you're going to play a rondo.

I thought such a man as yourself would be able to appreciate the attempt to liven the mood and lift the spirits of his fellow man?

Not at the expensive of helping him when one might.

Swimming requires the acceptance of chills from which one is lucky to retain vitality. Rowing, a task accomplished already. Medical attention, given by others, and I dare not give, as I've no experience. Basic necessities are provided, and so I must do what I can.
