This Old Mess
I came back to work on Tuesday. My boss left for vacation on Thursday. Normally, this would be heavenly as I have everything to myself. However, my department is closing down while he's gone. He left me know information and no schedule of what's going on. Now I, who still has a job after we're shut down, looks like an ass, and he, whose job is at risk, looks like the only one who knows what's going on. The VP is a smart guy though and it's falling for anything of it.
Still, it's a little trying to be sure. It means I might be late getting out with the RI crew tonight, but I shouldn't be too late. I do think I have whiplash, though, due to going from falling asleep at my cube to being the hub of communication between my company, local retailers, the pharmacy software people and the company performing the conversion.
