I'm so glad you enjoyed them! It was a "sorry I couldn't be there but I will replace my presence with bacon" sentiment.

I'm actually surprised that you had never had them (so Greg says). They're pretty common here (yet another thumbs up for the East Coast) I actually thought they'd be old hat for you. Well then...Surprise! Pretty easy to make as you could see.
