Just thought I'd mention something that happened today. I found out that there is a position open in my old store that is one step higher than my current one: Customer Service Manager. Basically, it is the head manager of the Front End department. My manager now thinks I should go for it, at least for the interview experience, but I'm not so sure ( Read more... )

I say go for it! It is good experieince, and it won't hurt to try. And if you don't get it, then you just know you have more to learn in your current position, no harm done. But who knows, you could get it, and it would rock! Give it a shot.

if you really think that you'd like the job, even eventually, then go for the interveiw. What you need to worry about is not the stress of the interveiw, but the stress related to the job, you should know by now that when they incress your pay like that it's mostly because the job is more stressful and they expect more from you. I think you can do a good job of it, but it's more important what you think, and if you're willing to put yourself through the stress of the job.

I'd say go for it too! And if they offer you the job, then you can decide if you want to take it or not.

I don't really enjoy job interviews, but as Rush said it would be good experience if nothing else.
