Gosh, so I haven't posted in a long while.
In recent news, there is a crazy girl at my school who has driven me away from said said, because of all the craziness that goes on there. It was the straw that broke the camel's back, I guess. I was on the city bus talking to my pal Ryan, one of the few people there who can hold a stimulating conversation... We were cutting up the school, and how immensely unintelligent the people there are, and all the gangstas and their bitches and ho's, etc.. Quietly, I might add. Some girl was eavesdropping, and then called me on everything and bitched me out, and kind of made it clear that she really didn't like me, and to keep my mouth shut "or else." You get the picture.
#1, I must ask - Why, in the name of all things holy and sacred, would someone have such school spirit and patriotism for THAT school?! SHeeeeeeeeesh. Gela?! Why?! No!
#2, Why should I be going there when they take a whole month to read one *grade 8 reading level* novel, when I read it in a couple hours? That's gonna look totally righteous on a college application. Woooo. There's NO ONE there to talk to except maybe three people, because I mean, most of those kids had a hard time with that novel, if you get what I'm saying.
#3, I apologized to that girl, as I understand that I am no better than anyone else... However, I was just stating my opinion privately to a friend... Still my fault, but. Whatev. It's done.
So, I didn't tell my dad about it, and I haven't been to school since Thursday. I've been going to William's Coffee every morning for about 40 minutes, then over to the library for some heavy, delicious reading. I've been really enjoying it too. So many crazy people downtown Brantford. I have stories like you wouldn't believe. "Maybelline, why can't you be true?!!??!" Guy in William's comes to mind. ahhahaha. And Bucky, the hobo man in the pink rascal scooter and pink hat, who zips by me in the library.
My dad found out today about the whole Gela thing, and was really nice about it. I thought he'd be mad since I haven't been going to school, but he was really nice about things. He even hugged me. So, I had an appointment made for today at Pauline Johnson, and went, and things are totally different this time. I might be able to do a Magnet program for Culinary/Hospitality in the afternoons, but otherwise, I'll be taking Art, Geography, Film and University English. Excitement! And real, intelligent people to talk to! The staff were all suuuuuper nice to me this time too, particularly the same guidance woman who I spoke with last time, and had problems with. Fo'riz. I want to be her best friend, after today. She is just that righteous.
Ummm... I may have met someone awesome. Like, really awesome. Who isn't a douche, who isn't an old man, who isn't moving to Sarnia, who is also going to London for college, who has his life together, who is terribly sweet, and devestatingly handsome, I might add.
