(no subject)
I am officially the worst Youth Group Leader ever.
So I go to help out with my churches youth group because I need service hours for honors society. Well, I realized that these kids (4th and 5th graders) were not angels when I heard the guys talking about straight and gay people and not sleeping with guys and then one of them goes, "Well bi is a totally different matter." I was like whoa.
Ok, so later the real youth leader tells me to stay in a room with a small group of kids who had finished their painings and play spoons. Quickly a small group turns into the whole group and all of the guys are playing blackjack and looking for something to bet with. I told them they couldnt bet, especially not at church. So I go and sit with thte girls when I hear one of the guys say "Lap dancing" and I turn and say "okay y'all, lets take it down a couple ratings" and they laugh and one of them keeps going "what a lap dance?" and he keeps getting louder and louder until I'm like "Okay, We are in church. Dont talk about lap dances. and if you are going to talk about lap dances be quiet about it so you dont get me in trouble." So one of the guys briefly explains what it is and I say "Okay, so now that we all know what a lapdance is lets talk about something else."
Later I am sitting with the girls and they are tlaking about prank phone calls and I start talking about all of the prank phone calls I have made that got me into trouble and then one of them is like "Can we use your cell phone to prank call the operator?" I tried to be good and say no but finally I caved and said that they could as longas they hung up if one of the leaders came in. Unfortunately/fortunately (i cant decide) my phone didnt work.
Yeah, so I am a really bad influence. And I'm going back next week.
