Alright LJ friends...I really need your input.

I belong to an organization of women that has asked me to run for president of the group for 2007. No one else will put their name in the hat, so I guess I'm going to end up with the position.

Here's the thing...this group is made up of ladies in the age range of 40-60. (I am the youngest member at age 38.) Most of these women have been in this group for approximately 10 years now, so they've all kind of "done their time", so to speak, as far as holding office, participation, etc. They're all just kind of tired and lazy because they are bored with the club. But they remain members because it IS a good organization.

Soooo...I need to come up with fundraising ideas for 2007. Every year, we raffle off a quilt that someone has made, and that's pretty much the end of it. The ladies don't go out and sell the tickets (lazy), they just buy up the amount of tickets alloted to them and their job is done!

So I want to incorporate new ideas and make the group fun, young and enegetic again. I have called some of the members and every single one of them has said that our group needs more participation from the members. The people who volunteer are always the same people since none of the others will get involved.

I need help coming up with ideas for fundraisers and in addition, some ideas to make meetings "fun". (I know my explanations are rather vague...sorry)

Can anyone help. And maybe if you can't come up with something, would you please ask a friend or two if THEY might have any ideas? I really, truly appreciate any input!

Thanks guys!
