Oh Charlotte. I got the impression that Leslie's not her biological father, but her adoptive father? It's quite sad that Sofia takes less responsiblity for her than he does. :(

Other than that, the interaction between them is superbe, as always. =)

Oh, I don't know...most adoptive parents are quite attached to their children... :)

I always imagine Leslie's tone is one of long suffering tolerance.

I'm proof of that. Dad is much more overprotective of me than Mom. Granted my parents are still together, and Dad swears that he'll never change diapers. I think though since he missed out on that with me it's only fair that when my clan produces a grandchild for them he changes at least one diaper. Why do I bring this up? Because just think of Leslie changing one!

It's just quite sad how very detached Sofia is - in comparison to Leslie or any other set of parents who might be floating around.

I am just plain confused at the conversation about Gamma Ray Bursts...
Because I don't think there's any way that Charlotte could duplicate a GRB (or would want to- unless she was trying to destroy the world.)

So.... is she just seeing the news about them discovering one that might occur close to the Earth or something?

Well, the sun has gamma bursts all the time, doesn't it? I believe that's what caused those blackouts in the 70's or whatever. (Do not make me cite dates, I was watching Discovery!)

Anyway, I think the inference is that Sofia saw a news report on them and jumped to the conclusion that Charlotte tripped and made a doomsday device. Or something.

Those are sunspots. Gamma ray bursts are typically the result of a supernova having happened somewhere quite far away and quite a long time in the past.

That has got to be the most awesome conversation any parent has had about their child. I also love how Charlotte is Rudd's kid when she's misbehaving. It's kinda sweet. lol.
